Nga Phe Kyaung
Built on stilts over the lake at the end of the 1850s is the beautiful wooden Nga Phe Kyaung, the biggest and oldest monastery of Inle Lake.
The monastery is outstanding thanks to its big collection of ancient Bagan, Shan, Tibet and Ava-style Buddha images. Moreover, the jumping cats, which have been trained to jump through a hoop like in a circus, are the most unique thing to draw the attention to the visitors.
